It is with great joy and a thankful heart that I welcome you to Castaños Spanish Teachers. This business holds such a dear place in my heart because it was birthed out of my love for children and passion for education. In the beginning, I was very afraid to venture out and start my own company. However, my faithful and loving husband, Tim, encouraged me to take a leap of faith.

After the birth of our first child, Allison, in 2009, we decided I would leave my job as a high school Spanish teacher to become a full-time stay-at-home mom. When Allison turned two, I started teaching her Spanish. I did lots of research on how to effectively teach foreign language to preschoolers. I also found all kinds of great resources. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly she began learning the language.

One day, Tim walked in the house and noticed her speaking Spanish. He said, “I think you should start a business. You should start a preschool Spanish program.” Initially, I was very reluctant. I knew I was a good teacher but I doubted my ability to run a business. The thought continued to cross my mind from time to time.

In 2011, I decided to launch our Little Estrellas Preschool Spanish Program. I signed my first contract in December of that year. Fast forward a few years and here I am, running a successful small business! It is by God’s grace, I am able to do what I love everyday. It is such an honor to be able to open up a whole new world to children through the Spanish language and culture. What a tremendous journey it has been!

Thank you for visiting Castaños Spanish Teachers. We hope you will consider our Little Estrellas Preschool Spanish Program for your childcare center and allow us to help you on your journey to acquiring Spanish fluency.

May God richly bless you,

Renee Brown
